Bashing, A Pastime

"What have you bashed of your box?" was an expression meaning, "How much of your Red Cross box is gone?" There were different methods of bashing. Mine was most common for we were the group that ate things just about as fast as we could and still keep it more than a day. We enjoyed it by consuming it fast. Others enjoyed theirs by making it last over a long period and there were a very few who kept some of their food long after the others had eaten theirs. We called them. "squirrels."
